The Yerevan Music Festival is a two-day open-air event held in the city each June, with gates opening at 15:00 daily. The programme focuses on international DJs and electronic music acts alongside live entertainment and food zones, making it the most club-oriented of Yerevan’s summer festival calendar rather than a folk or classical event. It reflects Yerevan’s growing position as a destination with an active nightlife and music scene.

Yerevan’s position at the intersection of Russian, European, and Middle Eastern musical cultures has produced an eclectic local scene, and the city has attracted increasing numbers of touring DJs and electronic acts since 2020. The festival channels that momentum into a structured outdoor format. Sets typically run from mid-afternoon through to late evening, with the programme building toward headline acts in the 21:00-23:00 window.

What to expect

Food and drink zones are spread across the festival site alongside multiple stages or zones offering simultaneous programming at different volumes and genres. The crowd is predominantly local — Yerevan in summer fills with Armenian diaspora visitors and regional tourists, and the mix in the festival crowd reflects that. The atmosphere is social and energetic rather than the immersive camping-festival type; most attendees travel in from the city and return home or to hotels after the evening programme ends.

Tickets are sold in advance online and at the gate; advance purchase is recommended for headline days. The festival venue varies year to year — confirm the location via the Armenia Travel events page or the festival’s own channels in advance of your visit. June in Yerevan is warm and dry, around 27-32°C by day and cooling to 18-22°C in the evenings, which makes the outdoor format comfortable. Comfortable shoes for standing on grass or mixed ground are more practical than sandals. See our Armenia in June guide for broader travel planning around this month.
